Dr. Sameer Kapoor
Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery
Dr. Sameer Kapoor is a native from Allentown, PA. He graduated from
Parkland High School and attended Temple University where he received his
Baccalaureate and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science with high honors.
Upon graduating, Dr. Sam became a college professor teaching Biology,
Anatomy and Physiology. However, it was always his dream to become a
dentist, so he took off to the State University of New York for dental school.
Throughout dental school, Sam found himself gravitating toward a career in
periodontics and once he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he decided
to continue his studies in periodontics at Indiana University Purdue
University Indianapolis, where he graduated with a Master of Science in
Periodontology and a minor in oral pathology. During this time, Dr. Sam
worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis, where he
obtained a certificate in periodontics and dental implant surgery. He
received advanced training in dental implant surgery, gum grafting, bone
grafting, oral surgery, sedation and oral medicine. Dr. Sam credits his
time at the Veteran’s Center for his ability to create a calming
environment for his patients with high anxiety- a gift his patients
continue to tout today. Sam’s extensive medical journey prepared him well
in understanding how oral health plays into a patient’s overall health. Sam
is passionate about getting to know his patients and offering them the most
state-of-the-art techniques in periodontics and dental implant surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Sam enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Sam’s
entire extended family resides in the Lehigh valley. Dr. Sam’s wife is a
dermatologist. She sub-specializes in MOHS and Cosmetic Surgery and
practices in the Lehigh Valley. The two of them enjoy spending time with
their latest addition to the family, little baby Harris. Dr. Sam’s older
sister is a gastroenterologist, who also practices in the Lehigh Valley.
Dr. Sam is very passionate about giving back, and has a lengthy history of
helping those in need around the world- whether it’s raising money for
those displaced after an earthquake or collecting clothes for refugees.
Dr. Elliot Shear, DDS
Specialist in Gum Disease, and Oral Medicine
Elliot Shear, DDS, a Lehigh Valley native from Allentown, PA, is a specialist in the private practice of periodontics and dental implants, located in Bethlehem, PA. The office provides advanced quality treatment for patients with the goal to attain ideal oral health. Dr. Shear focuses on rebuilding lost oral tissue to help patients regain normal function. In cases where teeth have been lost, Dr. Shear works in close collaboration with a restorative dentist to provide dental implants, giving patients the look and feel of a natural dentition. Dr. Shear Graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown, Pennsylvania, soon after received a Bachelor of Science degree, Pennsylvania State University, went on to obtain his DDS degree, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr Shear was also a Resident in Anesthesiology, University of Vermont Medical Center Hospital, Burlington, VT. Dr. Shear was a Captain, United States Air Force, Chief Dental Officer at USAF Dental Clinics, located in New York State and Vermont and received an Honorably discharged.
Dr. Shear is also an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, Northeastern Society of Periodontists and Lehigh Valley Dental Society
